We fished the local estuaries and rivers of Port St. Lucie, FL during the mullet run. Panhandle creators Sean Lawless (The Lawless Tide) and Jack Moran (Yakin with Jack) drove down to southeast Florida to team up with Aaron Benzrihem (Abenz Fishing) and break in our brand new skiff, a 2023 Mako 18 LTS provided by Bass Pro Shops.
River tunas get a bad rap in some circles, but what’s not to like about a fish that hits like a truck and fights like a submarine? This was a run and gun style of fishing, throwing big poppers and swimbaits to entice bites from some of the biggest Jack Crevalle the team had ever seen. GTs? Who needs ‘em?
Sean Lawless (The Lawless Tide)
Sean Lawless was born and raised in landlocked Tulsa, Oklahoma and started fishing in Florida in 2017. From catching pompano on the beach to blackfin tuna in his kayak and bonita off the jetties, Sean shows his viewers everything Florida’s fishery has to offer.
Jack Moran (Yakin’ with Jack)
Jack Moran grew up in Pensacola fishing a local catfish farm with his grandfather. His love for saltwater fishing began on the piers and bridges of Pensacola, but quickly launched into the Gulf of Mexico when he discovered the adrenaline rush of going for a sleigh ride in a kayak.
Aaron Benzrihem (Abenz Fishing)
Aaron Benzrihem is an avid angler based out of southeast Florida. He grew up snook fishing on Sanibel Island and now writes, shoots, and edits fishing stories and videos that document his efforts to catch the biggest inshore fish Florida has to offer.
