The Jersey Coast Anglers Association (JCAA) Fluke Tournament will be contested on Saturday, June 14 out of 10 ports spread from Jersey City in the north to Fortescue on Delaware Bay. Anglers only compete for over $4,000 in cash and prizes against others entered at their port, but the biggest prizes don’t require any skill at all as they’re raffled off the following Friday during the awards presentation at Trump Marina Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. Topping those prizes is an 1801CC Century with Yamaha outboard and LoadRite trailer, valued at over $30,000. Almost invariably, the boat package has been won by an angler who never had a fluke entry in the contest. The boat entry fee is $120 before June 7, and $150 thereafter. This is the major fund raiser for the JCAA. For information go to JCAA.org.
