No bonefisherman should ever set foot on a flat without at least a couple of these. The body material used in this fly can be a variety of Mylar materials. The fly pictured here has a body that’s been wrapped with five or so strands of pearl flashabou.
1. Figure-eight-wrap bead-chain eyes and tie in Mylar tubing with its core removed.
2. On top of where you tied in the hollowed- out tubing, tie in your chosen body material.
3. Wrap the body material down the shank and make sure it’s even throughout.
4. Fray the tubing tail with scissors, tie in a craft fur wing at the nose, and whip finish.
