Troll or Bait: You can target halibut by trolling or using live bait, each effective at different times of the year.
Fing the Zone: The key to successful halibut fishing lies in getting your bait in the right part of the water column.
Drifting Bait: Live anchoves drifted over the right spot often produce.
Soft Tip: Rods with sensitive tips help telegraph bites, but you also need stout lower sections for lifting power.
