Depending on where you fish, a compass can prove invaluable, and for safety’s sake they are an absolute necessity. Bushnell introduces a new series of digital compasses that make things a little more convenient and that are much more useful than are regular compasses.Bushnell’s Digital Navigation System (DNS) series features basic hand-held and wrist-top models that feature a compass, thermometer and clock. In addition, the Pro models feature a barometer, altimeter and weather tracking, and forecasting capabilities. All four feature polycarbonate LCD covers that won’t easily break or scratch, and all models are shockproof and protected with rubber armor. The LCD displays are backlit, and all feature a sighting device for azimuth readings. Much more than a simple compass, each model keeps time, as well as provides a full calendar, an alarm and stopwatch, and a map light. The Pro models track barometric pressure and display recent trends graphically, and they can even offer predictions. Suggested retail price for the base models is $79.95 and $113.95 for the Pro models. For more information, contact Bushnell 9200 Cody Overland Park, KS 66214 913-752-3400 www.bushnell.com
