Pursuit Boats makes, to exacting yacht standards, high-quality, luxury offshore fishing boats in dual-console, offshore, and sport center-console formats—all proven and popular layouts—in lengths from 24 to 44 feet.

Made in two state-of-the-art facilities in Fort Pierce, Florida, Pursuit is part of the Tennessee-based Malibu Boats family, which also includes recreational and fishing powerboat brands Cobia, Pathfinder, Maverick and Hewes.

Pursuit’s designers and engineers take great consideration in a boat and its propulsion system that manifests in optimal ride and handling. Hull construction consists of resin-infused fiberglass grid systems, and gelcoat finishes are ultra-premium.

The company, a boatbuilder for nearly 50 years, crafts its own custom-made components, and touts its helms as “intelligently designed.” Owners and other experts agree and approve: The company received the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s prestigious Innovation Award in 2018, again in 2022, and has earned the NMMA CSI award every year since its inception.

Pursuit Boats carry five-year hull and deck structural warranties, a five-year blister-free warranty, plus two-year limited warranties. They’re transferable, and resale values are among the industry’s highest for good reason.

Pursuit OS 325

Pursuit’s popular OS 325 has been so thoroughly redesigned that the company describes it as a new model, commanding fresh attention with its sleek exterior styling and its readiness to channel the power of twin Yamaha F350s into speeds of 52-plus mph.

The bridge deck is fronted by a large, single-piece and optically clear glass windshield beneath a molded-fiberglass full-width hardtop. An L-shaped lounge wraps the captain, with a foldout backrest that allows the portside passenger to face forward easily. A fold-down step provides the captain extra height when standing, or it can be used as a footrest while seated.

The captain is informed by factory-installed Garmin electronics, including twin 16-inch screens; options include a Yamaha Helm Master EX full-maneuverability package. The anchor can be tended from a helm control or a remote in the bow anchor locker, and optional sun pad loungers are available for the bow. In the cockpit, a port hullside door and telescoping ladder are standard.

Galley features that are split between the cabin and cockpit serve both, with a refrigerator in each. Portside, a cockpit entertainment center includes a grill, large sink, folding faucet, and removable cover that provides protection and storage, plus a working space.

The cabin, finished in warm-toned hardwoods, solid stock trim and modern fabrics, is accessed from the bridge deck through the center of the boat. A scissor-style berth makes the switch smoothly from seating to sleeping, and a secondary full-size berth aft welcomes visitors. The cabin also contains a private head.

Options include a generator, cabin and/or cockpit heating and air conditioning, additional seating, sunshade, chill plate, spotlight, and underwater lights.

The OS 325 has a dozen rod holders distributed among gunwale, transom and hardtop supports; undergunwale rod storage; a lighted 32-gallon livewell with an Oceana Blue interior; and fish boxes of 27 and 24 gallons each at port and starboard, respectively. You can add optional hardtop-mounted rod holders and/or outriggers. Navigational add-ons include Garmin radar, rear-facing camera, night vision, and SiriusXM weather receiver.

Editor’s Note

Pursuit’s OS 325 is a multitasker boat that doesn’t reveal any weaknesses, whether its owner wants to head offshore for some -serious fishing, hang out with the crowd at the sandbar, or cruise to the Bahamas for a four-day weekend. -Alan Jones
