Designed to stalk fish in just inches of water, the new 168 Phantom from Ranger Boats is the latest addition to the company’s line of flats boats. Key features include a “non-slap” hull, abundant lockable storage, non-skid decks, wide walkaround gunwales, flush-mounted pushpole holders, recessed trim tabs and a large cockpit and deck area thanks to its 83″ beam.
Under-gunwale storage for rods up to ten feet have individual organizers to cradle each rod for better tackle protection and easy access. The large, aerated live-release/bait well features a high-speed pickup and in-line filter. A forward-canted poling platform helps maintain optimum weight distribution and a level profile front to rear reinforces its shallow-draft capability and easy poling attributes.
Rated for a maximum of 60 hp, the 168 Phantom comes factory-rigged with a wide range of precision-matched outboards, and features fiberglass stringers, upright level flotation, no-feedback steering and a self-bailing cockpit. A custom-fitted, aluminum RangerTrail trailer with torsion axles, exclusive RangerTrail C.O.O.L. oil-bath hubs, aluminum wheels, removable tongue and matching spare tire and wheel complete this shallow-water package.
