Jon B. Cave is a freelance writer, photographer and lecturer who has been teaching fly casting and fly tying professionally since 1975. His fly-fishing school is one of the first established in the United States and is the oldest in the South. He holds a master’s degree in natural resources with special concentration in fisheries, and worked more than 15 years as a professional guide on Florida’s saltwater flats. In 1998, the Federation of Fly Fishers honored him with the prestigious Silver King Award for his contributions to saltwater fly-fishing. He is only the fourth to receive this recognition. Fly-Fishing Odyssey is his first book.
