The Salt Water Sportsman editors saw plenty of new boats at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Take a look below at some of the boats in the 30- to 39-foot range that stood out.
Regulator 31
The new 31-footer from Regulator includes twin Yamaha F300 outboard engines, a well-sized cockpit, an oversized tackle center and fishbox, forward seat backrests and a starboard side dive door, all features similar to the Regulator 41. It also features a fiberglass-lined console with electric head, a 228-quarter transom fishbox and 36-gallon transom livewell, plus three more fishboxes in the front.

Intrepid 375 Walkaround
The dependable Intrepid 375 Walkaround received a lot of attention at this year’s show. The 37.5-footer features 400 gallons of fuel capacity, the ability to hold 50 gallons of water, elevated shear lines providing more than 6 feet of headroom and overhead storage space in a spacious cabin and galley. It also features four cockpit LED lights and cabin/head skyights. The boat on display at the show had a trio of 300 Yamaha outboards in the back.

Contender 39 Fisharound
The new 39-footer in Contender’s Fisharound series features a custom hull-side door, custom painted boot and pin stripe, your choice of hull and deck gel coat colors, a non-skid cockpit sole and deck, hand-laid fiberglass, a 500-gallon fuel capacity and a trio of Yamaha 350 outboards.

Southport 33 LX
This new version of Southport’s 33-footer made its debut in the 2016 boat show schedule. It features more seating, designed for a more family-friendly focus, and still brings the fishability to rival others in its range. The boat has a fuel capacity of 300 gallons, a 35-gallon livewell, maximum HP of 900 and the ability to hold 30 gallons of freshwater. Powering the boat are twin 300 Yamaha outboards.
