The Davis 34 CC is the second-smallest of the four-boat center-console series (including an express and a walkaround) and the full Davis line that stretches out to a 70-foot sport-fisherman. It boasts the dramatically flared hull famous for taming huge head seas and riding following seas as if on rails. A 24-degree deep-V hull softens the seas offshore but maintains a modest draft for confidence when returning to inland ports.
The lines might be classic, but the materials and technologies are state-of-the-art new. Advanced fiberglass composite is the basis for vacuum-infused resin hulls and decks, with all coring composed of closed-cell foam. A molded integral engine bracket welcomes a pair of big outboard engines, with a massive 300-gallon fuel tank to give it the range needed for safety and fun when heading to the canyons.
Fishing is the boat’s focus, and it’s fishing-ready with rod storage, livewell, tackle-storage stations, fish box and wraparound coaming. Its fighting cockpit is broad and stable too.
Within the console, the 34CC has a stand-up head with sink and handheld shower. The console face is hinged so it opens effortlessly, and electrical wiring is coded and run for easy access — just one more sight to add to the visitors tour. The electrical system is bonded. Good boat-keeping is aided by fresh- and seawater washdown on 25-foot hoses. Fish boxes are ready to swallow up a massive catch.
